OTROS SONIDOS
Los sonidos naturales y artificiales que nos rodean configuran un paisaje sonoro único y con identidad por sí mismo. Pero esta sonoridad singular que caracteriza cada lugar no es estática ni permanente, ya que de manera inevitable ciertos sonidos desaparecen y otros nuevos surgen paralelamente a los constantes cambios del mundo en el que vivimos, por lo que hace falta recopilarlos para no perder el vínculo con nuestro pasado reciente.
Así pues, la colección Otros sonidos se creó para recoger los sonidos de la naturaleza, del medio ambiente y de la actividad humana de la provincia de Pontevedra y de toda Galicia. En este momento está formada, aproximadamente, por un centenar de discos compactos con una selección de los trabajos de campo realizados en la provincia de Pontevedra, principalmente por la investigadora y especialista en bioacústica Eva Julián Adán entre 2003 y 2007.
Podemos agrupar los sonidos recogidos en tres apartados: ambientes sonoros naturales (viento, mar, ríos, bosques, acantilados, terremoto de 2006, animales), ambientes sonoros artificiales (Centro Oceanográfico de Vigo, aserraderos, molinos, embarcaciones, romerías) y toques de campanas de distintas parroquias de la provincia.
